I was searching for a jeweler in the quiet city area to help me custom make an urn charm for my sister who recently passed away. I searched all over the Internet and couldn't find anything worthy of my time. I went to a few other jewelers in the area and none of them seem to have an in house Goldsmith and I didn't like the idea of going through "third parties" since I was wanting to take my sisters wedding ring and charm that she wore around her neck to have melted down along with some other gold jewelry and diamonds I had lying around to all be used for my one of a kind custom urn charm.

Everyone I dealt with at Revells Really took the time to help map out what I imagined in my head I wanted it to look like. When I went into Revells Jewelers I was greeted with great customer service from the jump. I showed them a picture I had gotten my inspiration from and they absolutely nailed it. They used all the diamonds from my sisters wedding rind and from a few other things I brought to them to make this one of a kind piece so perfect and special to me.

It is 100% waterproof and I didn't have to worry about using any jewelry glue to seal her ashes into it! I made several different phone calls for changes to my ideas along the way and they made everyone one of them come to life just how I pictured it would be. Now I have her to carry around my neck until I can pass it on to my daughter and keep her spirits live throughout our family's future!

Our family has always trusted James to create incredible one-of-a-kind pieces. When my dad gifted me with my grandmother's jewelry, I went to James for ideas to design something new and unique for myself. I knew I wanted a new piece with a timeless, vintage look. James connected me with his engraver Aaron who gave me ideas along the way. We planned an engraved ring using the metal and diamonds from my grandma's jewelry. Aaron's hand-engravings turned out to be far more beautiful than I could have imagined and I will treasure this personalized ring forever. Aaron is incredibly talented.

We have been going to Revell since around 2007 and have always had exceptional service! We have worked with Nancy and James the most but everyone there has been super friendly, trustworthy and efficient. It is always a fantastic experience. I was hesitating on splurging for a custom wedding band for my very detailed vintage engagement ring, but decided last minute to go forward. I love Revell! They made my wedding ring that was a 40th anniversary gift from my husband 10 years ago. We moved away from the Quad Cities, but when it came time to have some more custom jewelry made, I went right back there. I could not be more delighted with my pieces!

They use to be J.H. Revell if I remember right. I went there to sell some gold (nice gold) they treat people like ''crackheads.'' They offered $80.00 bucks for my jewelry I took it somewhere else and got $350.00 moral of story is don't settle for the first offer only you know what your jewelry is worth too you!

I just had my wedding band reset at Revell's. They did a very nice job & I got exactly what I wanted at what I considered a reasonable price. The only thing that threw me off was when I asked the sales girls about doing an appraisal. She told me they don't do appraisals there. I thought that was odd. My husband was with me but was looking at jewelry in another section of the store.

I told him about no appraisals at the store when we got in the car & he was as confused as I was. We both felt that when they are selling/working with precious/semi-precious stones someone there would certainly be able to do appraisals. I didn't care for that & because of that fact I will now have to find a jewelry appraiser somewhere else & make another trip to who knows where.

Went and got a ring appraised at Neckers. It was worth over $2,000. Was looking to sell it so I came here. They only wanted to buy it for $300 and I was told it was only worth $300. Obviously they dont know what they are doing here.

The jeweler (and possibly owner) refused to size the wedding band I purchased a different size to solder it properly to my engagement ring. It looked terrible. Besides that, it was soldered crooked. Other area jewelers assured me that it's absolutely normal to have to size a band a different size to fit against an engagement ring and that they could do it no problem for me.

I still have no clue why they would not do it here. The jeweler wouldn't give an explanation or speak to us, he just used the sales lady as a middle person. I left the store in tears and decided to get them unsoldered, return the band I had bought, and spend my money elsewhere. I was a returning customer and had referred several people to this store. I will never do business here again.

I saw their ad that said they pay the best prices for precious stones and so I went in their store because I had some jewelry to sell and one was a diamond ring. That is very misleading because they don't pay the best price and offered me a very low one and it wasn't even close to what it was worth. I was very disappointed. So if you have something that is nice and you want to sell it, don't go there. When the girl asked me if I would change my mind and come later and she would save the low amount I said no, don't bother. I won't be back.

James did not stay true to his word to my fiance. He was completely unprofessional and wouldn't even speak to us in person. If you are an owner then you should take the time to speak to your paying customers face to face. WE would NOT recommend buying or selling here unless you want to be taken advantage of and treated poorly. If I could leave a zero star I would!

Fast, friendly and attentive to my needs. Had my grandmother's engagement ring resized and polished. Looks great and was quoted a very decent price! Will definitely return to talk wedding bands if it all works out!

I came into the store first thing Monday morning after my necklace had broken Sunday night. I was visiting from Las Vegas and was worried, I wouldn't find a place that could repair it quickly since I was headed back to Vegas Monday night. I went in and they told me they could fix it with their express service. I dropped it off at 10 and they called a little after 3 that it was done. I was so excited to have my necklace back and fixed before I headed home. They were very nice and professional. I'd recommend this jeweler to anyone!

Was extremely disappointed by process JH Revell Jewelry valued jewelry. Appraisals were far below true value and market.
