Dear Valued Customers and Friends: This is a difficult letter to write. As most of you know, Bob passed in 2015, and I continued his legacy growing the store with the help of my wonderful staff, who I am happy to call friends, and my loyal customers, who continued to shop with us. With mixed emotions, I am announcing my retirement and the closing of Robert Guertin Jewelry.

Guertin Jewelers has a boutique atmosphere, featuring not only hand-crafted and estate jewelry, but also artisan made pieces, scarves, ponchos and hand-blown glass by local Cape Cod artists. Our gallery features platinum, 14k & 18k gold, diamonds and other precious stones such as pink and blue sapphires, rubies, emeralds, just to name a few.
Robert E Guertin Jewelers is a full service jewelry destination with attention to personalized service for all our customers. After 27 years of repairing and selling jewelry in the Cape Cod mall Bob with his wife Joanne, decided to move his small shop to Merchant Square in Sandwich. Bob wanting to spend more time with his family began looking from Dennis to Sandwich to purchase his own store and be free to set his own hours of business. The move from the Cape Cod Mall in 2001 was the best thing that ever happened to Bob and his family.
E. Guertin Jeweler will buy gold (silver and platinum too) in any condition, even the broken or outdated jewelry you have lying around can be worth a shocking amount. We have been proven to give over 30% of what you would receive at a gold party, and have been in the business for over 30 years. Because of this, we have a relationship with, and deal directly with the refiner.

When they were on Main Street in Hyannis I had a vintage Rolex serviced there. Instead of using the official Rolex service center they outsourced the work to a third party chop shop. The original dial and hands of the watch were stolen (they are quite valuable) and a replica face was inserted that was laughably poor and to add insult to injury they sealed the crystal with dust inside. Disgusting but they attempted to get away with it.
After threatening to sue them repeatedly they claim to have sent the watch to Rolex's official repair center. We will never know what the real story was but I'll never forget it and would never recommend doing business with this organization. This happened more that 15 years ago and I'll never forget it.

I am VERY unhappy with the hours. I left work an hour and a half early to pick up a sized bracelet, just to find they close an hour early on Saturday. They aren't even OPEN on Sunday's. I work six days a week, and now have realized that there is no way I will be able to pick up my cape cod bracelet. I will not take off more time from work to 'shop'.
The only day most people could make it with their 11-5 hours is Saturday, so wouldn't you expect they at least be open the full time on Saturday? So that people who WORK can come in? Surely they just want to get home on the weekend. As a worker in retail I cannot believe they don't have the business to stay open the full Time Saturday, considering their weekday hours don't allow for much of anything for locals who have JOBS.

The best jewelry store ever! Joanne is the consummate professional, offers options while being very considerate of budget. The estate jewelry is exceptional with something for every taste. The stone jewelry is beautiful and there is a considerable collection nautical inspired pieces. It is one of my favorite stops, just to see what is new.

Walked in with my friend to pick up her resized ring. My friend spotted a compass rose necklace under the glass and made a point to the jeweler that I owned a compass rose necklace just like that one. My necklace was in fact from their store and I love it more than anything (gift from my grandmother). She took a look at the necklace around my neck and noticed I hadn't cleaned it in a very long time.
She told me to hand it over.and came back within minutes, necklace in hand, sparkling clean. She then handed my friend and me 2 of their jewelry cleaner kit, one for each of us, for no charge! I don't know if they give them away or not on a regular basis, but I was very appreciative. My necklace looks amazing and shines like new. They truly care about the quality and care of their jewelry and customer service. Would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for quality jewelry!
